Oh ladies I've been waking up in pain through the night, I'm 36 weeks baby very low all in my back and I have the most horrendous hemmoroids 😳 I'm scared that when I give birth il turn inside out! I can hardly sit for two mins without being in a lot of pain. I tried to pop them back up when I was in the bath but they just come back down and now look like a bunch of grapes. Please what can I do!!xx

I feel your pain, germoloids is brilliant and safe in pregnancy, so is anusol but i found this less effective. It will take the pain away and shrink them but they probably won't clear up completely because of all the pressure from baby. I'm 33 weeks but have them but am no longer suffering in pain & they have shrunk considerably x

ThirdChildFourthPile · 29/08/2018 08:16

Have you tried Anusol and other meds?

minilemonade · 29/08/2018 10:35

I'm 16 weeks and because I was on chemo before pregnancy i was already prone and started getting them already. Sadly there's not much other than anusol and some powder drink things I got from my GP that they can do

Mummaluelae · 29/08/2018 10:42

Need if advice in this too! I never had hemmoroids until I gave birth to DS 3 years ago and they just haven't gone, they come and go, sometimes painful. Ive seen various DRS and they've prescribed and/or advised Anusol, Daktacort and Scheriproct products. Nothing seems to work for me.

Hi ladies I ended up in emergency then maternity triage I have so much pressure that I have a vaginal wall prolapse 😩the biggest hemmoroids and in constant pain! Been prescribed anaulsol supprositries and the cream I can't get until tomorrow. Worse back pains and sciatica I can hardly walk. Also can't empty my bladder properly because of the flesh in the way. Feeling sorry for myself tbh this is my 3rd and most painful pregnancy I'm also scared for the birth now.xx

Ah god love you OP, that sounds totally miserable 😥

Really hope some of the treatments offered help things, or at least eases the discomfort for you Flowers

wombatsears · 29/08/2018 18:37

I'm 32 weeks and have them. I use Anusol and then soak cotton pads in witch hazel and put them in the freezer. Use them as and when discomfort is really bad. Very soothing!

ThirdChildFourthPile · 29/08/2018 20:13

Oh bloody hell OP, I didn't even think that was possible.
You poor thing.

I'm on my third as well, I'm clenching as we speak.

Redken24 · 29/08/2018 20:19

Did ur doctor not give anything stronger? I have two from the doc and one works like literal magic and the other is useless.

Rarfy · 29/08/2018 20:26

18 weeks here and the pain makes me miserable. Barely slept last night because of them.

I find sudacrem really soothes. I rub toilet paper in sudacrem and then wipe my bum. Ive got the cream beginning with s which i domt really rate tbh but has given me some comfort today.

Also just got some prune juice to soften and keep things regular down there. Took 15mins to work! Great stuff.

Sorry you are suffering so much. Soinds awful.

Tetri · 29/08/2018 20:29

Oh you poor thing, that sounds horrendous! It's not much consolation but if you can hang on in there; they'll probably be able to give you stronger suppositories/ pain relief after the birth Flowers

JW1226 · 30/08/2018 05:52

Thankyou for the replies ladies,
I managed a half better sleep still wake up every hour though! Just drinking some boiled water doc said it will help too.

I was told I couldn't take codeine or co codamol due to them making the bowel worse so I'm trying to grin and bare it.

I'm petrified for birth now which saddens me because I was so excited for it , I'm even thinking a csection would be better for me and that was my worse nightmare before this happened! X

Hopefully you can pick up the cream today. I hope it's the one that I have that is literally like magic. Are you able to take lactulose x

JW1226 · 01/09/2018 13:21

@Redken24
I've been having lactose and also suppositories... both don't seem to be helping me I'm literally in bits today running out of options pretty sure I have bowel impaction and baby's in the way 🙈
