Hi I have a very small baby he’s 7 weeks old, we have been using condoms and as far as we know haven’t had any accidents. Iv been cramping for nearly 1 week now as if my period is coming and Iv been very hungry, I had a pregnancy test left over it’s dated February 2020 so it’s well in date. So I took it to rule out a pregnancy because I felt like this early on with my son, so basically a super faint line came up within the time frame that is still there! It’s very very faint and doesn’t show up on camera but it’s clearly there, is is faint pink! Could it be wrong? Could I have left over hormones from my baby?

Won't be hormones, so if it is positive then it'll be a new pregnancy. however sometimes there are bad evaps on frer, so I'd test again in a few days.

I wouldn’t think it would be residual hormones. Sounds like it could be a new pregnancy.
Give it a few days and test again.

Sounds like a pregnancy to me. Test again tomorrow. Good luck and congratulations on your newborn.

So I tested again and exact same happened again, the line has not got any darker or lighter it’s just super faint..... any ideas anyone? I really don’t think I am pregnant but why a faint line?

Well when was the first time you had sex after ds was born? Was it more than say a week ago?

There was a really similar thread a few weeks ago with the same scenario- a few posters came on to say it wouldn’t be outside the realms of possibility that it was residual hormones from her last pregnancy- I think she was 6 weeks pp.

Can you contact your gp and ask them to do the HCG bloods 2 days apart to work out if it’s a new pregnancy?

Emz2019 · 30/08/2018 10:02

He was 9 days old when we first had sex, my bleeding had stopped by then and I felt great, we have never not used a condom though

Condoms sadly aren’t foolproof.

I would try another brand of test using first urine of the day.

Hiya Emz2019, why don't you just use Clear Blue Digital to give you a confirmed result? That would surely put your mind at ease instead of wondering the whole time. Let us know how you get on.
