Very Worried

Hi all... so I'm about 9 and a half weeks pregnant.. had some brown stringy discharge for about 2 weeks now.. only notice when I wipe.. Read lots of different stories online that say this is perfectly normal , it's just old blood, only time to panic is when you see red blood... I was just wondering if any of you ladies have experienced the same thing? Very worried...

Call your midwife? Gp might be able to reassure you? Can you self refer to your epu?

Best thing to do for your own peace of mind is go to your Early Pregnancy Unit and they will check you out and do and early scan. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but if nothing else will set your mind at rest xx

I had more than just discharge at around 7 - 8 weeks, like the end of a period after the heavy flow is a fairly accurate way to describe it. Thought the worst, had an early scan, everything was fine.

I’m not saying not to get it checked out but many women do have it and it’s usually around the time of your first 2 missed periods if you do get it - so between 4 - 5 weeks and 8 - 9 weeks. If it’s old blood I really wouldn’t get too worked up, but please speak to your midwife for reassurance and medical attention. Good luck with your pregnancy!
