Growth scan issue at 32 weeks

Hi I’d appreciate some reassurance if possible - baby has been growing perfectly up to 32 weeks now I’ve been told his abdomen measure is a little behind where it should be (all others are ok). Does anyone have experience of this type of issue and did it resolve itself ok pretty quickly? Midwife just said hopefully all will be ok by 36 weeks but I’m stressing about it. Many thanks in advance!

I don't have experience of this but I am having growth scans. My first one the measurments were all over the place. They said they can vary and change so much inbetween scans. I have another one tomorrow so will let you know how much all the measurments have changed. At my last one, although normal his AC measurment was the lowest out of them all so I am interested to see if that has increased. What were your measurments? How much smaller is the AC measurment at the moment?

Oh the hell of my growth scans....
Bump measured super small (from 50th to below 10th%)one midwife appointment so she got me booked for an emergency scan to measure me
Scan measured baby had grown everywhere else normally but not on abdomen (only slight change)
They then said I'd need an early c section (also breech) for less than two weeks time. I must have been about 34ish?weeks at the time give or take.
I refused with my gut instinct knowing she was fine in there and demanded a second oppinion and a rescan in a few days. They refused to scan me until another two weeks - apparently any scan before the two weeks isn't a reliable measurement on seeing if babe had grown? Bs I know.
Anyyywaay. Two weeks and 2x weekly baby movement tests later, another scan done, measured growth but not a vast amount but enough for them to be happy with letting me go with monitoring.
Got my ecv (also begged and begged for that and had to sign more because she was small) natural spontaneous birth at 39+4 to a healthy 6lbs 2oz baby. She was never going to measure big because I'm only petit and has never been chubby ever since!

My friend who is also petit has had 3 children and the same issues of measuring small, by the third they weren't worried because they knew she just has small babies.

Thank you so much @Hopehope20 and @Emmafh3 for trying to reassure me! I actually ended up going to the MAU today because baby was hardly moving since yesterday. Got the all clear thank god and took the opportunity at the end to ask the midwife about the growth scan issues. She pointed out that actually that wasn’t the only meaaurement that was different and said I should expect some variability in growth as the baby lays fat down in different areas. Still a bit concerned of course but feel much better than I did. Thanks again xx

Oh that's good that you were able to chat to her and I am glad that everything was ok with the reduced movement etc. I had my second growth scan today and the measurments are all different again! Head was in the 95th% 3 weeks ago and is now in the 38th%. His overall weight percental also dropped from 39% to 36%. The sonographer was not concerned at all. I questionned why it varies so much and she actually said that the measurments are not exact at all. She also said if 10 sonographers all measured the same thing they would all get different results! So, I know slightly different to your situation but it feels clear to me that the growth scans really are not that accurate. She said the position of the baby greatly changes the accuracy of the measurments so....I have decided not to worry!
