Hi everyone.
I suffered a serious tailbone break as a child. It was split into three pieces after I fell off a metal railing and landed right onto my arse onto concrete. Yeah, it hurt
It took a good four months to heal and I would still get severe pain up to two years afterwards.
Fast forward over ten years, and I'm now pregnant with my first child and worrying how my previous tailbone injury may affect a vaginal birth? I'm only 12 weeks so have plenty of time to worry!
My tailbone doesn't really cause me too much bother anymore. It healed well for such a severe injury. It'll start to ache if I've been sitting for too long or if I lean back too far when sitting, but aside from that it's fine.
Will I be able to have a vaginal birth? My biggest fear is that it'll re-break during labour
Has anyone else here successfully given birth after a tailbone injury?
Thanks
