Hi, I am currently 36 weeks + 2 days pregnant and have had multiple problems in pregnancy, non of which are to do with baby but due to my weak immune system I have been even more ill in pregnancy than before. This is my first ever pregnancy and I have been in and out of hospital due to multiple reasons, mainly to do with dehydration from sickness (morning sickness/being ill), UTI treatment (still couldn't clear up on IV antibiotics so just monitoring that till she is here), also I have been on antibiotics since 25 weeks pregnant and only come off them at around 35 weeks pregnant, they had to keep switching them for different things (I had chest infection, UTI, tonsillitis etc and even stuff they couldn't treat like Flu etc...) so I am mentioning this in case the constant antibiotics makes a difference.
My question is I have had green mucus (like bright green snot) but I am unsure if this is a mucus plug or not due to the fact the ones I have seen have not been mixed with discharge (that's what this looks like). I have had it 3 X last week (only small bits) then today I had a lot more. I called the advice line and they think could be mucus plug with discharge as it can still come at different points. I have also got Gastroentritis (great I know) so have been having cramps and tummy issues however I now feel like the cramps are worse. Like an intense period. The hospital do not seem concerned so do I just speak to a midwife when I go for my scan on Tuesday? I just want to know what this mucus is and whether I am starting contractions. I am due to be induced at 39 weeks (2.5 weeks from now) due to my ill health etc... would prefer her to come b4 that tho on her terms.
