Back pain and bleeding

I'm looking for a little bit of help or advice. I'll ring 111 but also wondered if anyone had had similar...

I'm 10 weeks pregnant. I've previously slipped a disc about 5 years ago and have had intermittent back pain since. I've really hurt myself today and now am experiencing light spotting. Could the two be related? I'm in a huge amount of pain from my back and I'm wondering if muscle spasms have set off something as it were.

Any thought welcome, I'm quite worried.

Hi OP. What colour is the spotting, brown or red? What type of pain is it, severe period type cramps or similar pains to when you slipped a disc? Either way I would definitely ring 111 or your EPU asap, they might ask you to go in so they can check that all is ok, which I’m sure it will be. Keep us posted x

It's brown, with a little red. EPU closed but am waiting on call back from 111...

Sorry, forgot to reply properly, it's more like when I slipped my discs (so partially relieved when I lie flat on back with knees bent) rather than cramping.
