You're just a weirdo.

thats me in the first 3 months of this pregnancy. i would squeeze lots of lemon on top of few tomato slices, and drank the juice at the end. then i moved on to orange juice... very citrus craving. now it has reduced (32 weeks) but i still enjoy my lemonade or oj here and there. and its a girl inside .

I ate three oranges a day during my first trimester and drank limejuice with soda water like it was going out of fashion. Might be your body is needing the vit c, you need it to help absorb iron.

i wonder if the craving for citrus has to do with morning sickness (in the begining), or nauseous feelings that i still have once in a while... lemon and oranges always sounds good in my mind now that im pregnant, its refreshing.

i hope my baby is not a hermaphrodite

tiredmumov3 · 05/06/2007 18:35

cheers

oooh watch out for your teeth tiredmum, you'll end up with no enamel left! Have a piece of cheese afterwards to neutralise the acid (I'm not a dentist btw, just got sensitive teeth!)

nickytwotimes · 05/06/2007 19:32

citrus fruit is full of folate, so might be a good thing that you crave it. the teeth though...

MamaMaiasaura · 06/06/2007 10:00

ooo is this why i love sprite soo much?

Annie75 · 06/06/2007 10:04

Lemon ice cream, homemade lemonade with loads of ice... mmm.

I used to crave oranges when I had M/S with dd.
Have eaten them a fair bit this time too.

TinyGang · 06/06/2007 10:17

I liked the smell of lemons the second time I was pregnant. It was about the only thing that didn't make me feel sick. I fact the smell of lemons helped to ease the nausea a bit.

I don't think I could eat them on their own though. My dd1 eats them - she loves lemons. I only give her a couple of slices at a time.

I craved all kinds of citrus juice when pg with DS, and once we went to see the aviator at the cinema and there was a shot of a big bowl of oranges in it, I just HAD TO HAVE some oranges and we ended up driving to the 24-hour supermarket afterwards
