Fundal height ahead but small bump?!

My midwife measured my fundal height today at 28 weeks and it measured 29 weeks and she said it was on the larger side, my bump is definitely on the smaller side though and much smaller than others I know at the same gestation but who have measured spot on , so can your fundal measurements be larger but your bump still be smaller?

I'm having growth scans and baby is measuring a good 44th percentile on weight (previous small baby) , just a bit bemused at people always commenting on how small I am and midwife tells me opposite Confused

People's observations and your own do not indicate a healthy pregnancy. From growth scans, your baby is perfectly average and fundal height seems perfect. It's not an exact science as it measures your uterus rather than the actual baby so the position of the baby, fluid etc can all change the measurements but you have no reason for anyone to think it's a small bump. I had a massive bump on all three and the third was a small baby!

@fourplusonemore thanks for the reassurance!
Having growth scans , then scans with my consultant 3 days after at the review , she is also measuring my fundal height and then my midwife is too! Just so many numbers/percentiles being thrown at me , it's a lot to take in and I didn't think my Dd from first pregnancy was worryingly small to begin withConfused xx
