Fever worry / prescription drugs - early pregnancy

I'm 4W+3day pregnant and currently have a low grade fever. I've had it 48hrs now and have taken paracetamol to keep my temperature down (been to docs, she says it viral, we suspect it's a light version of hand, foot and mouth disease which DS1 currently has).

Just freaking out slightly (thank you google), because this is the point in early pregnancy when you don't want a fever due to the neural tube doing all it's stuff. Also I've taken about 6 paracetamols per day to keep fever down. It's not super high, and I'm only taking when it reaches 37.5. Highest it has gone is 38C. I know paracetamol is deemed as safe (but obviously google also argues too on the harm it can do to a foetus). Paracetamol is reaching the foetus by 4W+3 of development right?

(I also had to take antibiotics at the weekend after getting an eye infection. Doc sent me to hospital as I had a foreign object issue. I didn't know I was pregnant then, but said I might be. The drug wasn't ideal but the doctor said the ends justified the means etc).

Basically, am just feel very stressy. Anyone got anything positive to say possibly?

Thanks

Paula

Do not Google

If the doctor was worried you would be hospitalised.

Step away from google. If it was accurate people would abandon the 7 years at medical school and just crack on. The hospital knew there was a potential pregnancy and were not worried. So don’t worry.
