Brown/pink discharge help

This is my 2nd pregnancy. I’m 17 weeks pregnant and yesterday I went to the loo and I wiped and there was brown discharge and started to get crampy.

So I rang the hospital and I went down got a scan and baby is all good. The lady asked me to do a swab just to check for an infection and once I did the swab there was lots more brown discharge (sorry for tmi).

This morning I have got up and went to the loo and wiped again and now it’s browny/pink and I’m still having cramps! Period cramp feeling!!

Anyone had this before or have any advice? I’m constantly panicking now ☹️

I'd say try not to worry too much if you had a scan and they didn't see any blood around baby.
I bled a lot at almost 11 weeks with no sign of blood around babe. Stopped immediately once a clot had been passed a few days later.
Majority of bleeding in pregnancy, especially after first trimester is for unknown reasons or assumed cervical sensitivity. I imagine the cramps and more brown dc after a swab is from your cervix being disturbed and the old blood coming out (brown) its a very vascular area, even more so when pregnant.

Take it easy and If it gets worse call an epu again (easier said than done with a dc I know!)

Hiya. I had a big clot of brown earlier to and still some coming out along with cramps. Sorry tmi! But it feels like a period. I have to wait for results from the swab but lady says if it gets worse to ring them or the doctor.
