What a ball ache job that is to do anyway for a start but is it safe to continue in pregnancy?

I don't believe it is. I stopped when i found out i was pregnant. There's not much evidence as to why it isn't safe (it's unethical to do medical trials) but the general consensus is to stop until baby is here. The only recommended form of hair removal is shaving. And yup...massive ballache all round!

By comparison: I’ve had my legs waxed for years and I don’t find it painful at all - however - since being pregnant I can definitely say that my legs have been more sensitive. When I get waxing done at the moment, the skin on my legs feels a bit tingly, though I still wouldn’t describe it as painful.

I suggest you ask your midwife if it’s safe to continue, and if not then waxing may be an alternative?

You can also wax but your skin may be more sensitive.

My booklet says it's not to be used when pregnant
