Evening all,
Bare with me on this...I've not long got in from hospital and my brain is frazzled.
So...I have an under active thyroid and have had for 10years...I met with a doctor before ttc as aware that thyroid in pregnancy needs monitoring. Advised to let a GP know as soon as pregnant so that the ball can get rolling.
Saw GP 3 days after positive test (due to weekend) informed I would be referred to midwife and consultant and so on....anyway that was delayed and I wasn't seen until 10+4 (although when scanned was a week further than thought...so technically 11.4)
No TSH form done for bloods by midwife, but luckily I had a friend so my bloods who saw form was not present and done form for me.
Results were back on 13.07.18
I find out today at my consultant appointment my bloods are 12.7 when should be between 0.4 - 2 whilst pregnant. No one has contacted me about bloods or informed me I need to increase my meds. I've now been warned baby may have a low IQ and brain defects as a result as thyroxine is vital in first 12 weeks for fetal brain development. I'm now so worried about this....has anyone else had a high level and continues to have a healthy baby? All I've wished for is a healthy baby 👶🏼 I don't care if boy or girl, if straight, gay or bi and anything else....I just want a healthy baby 😢😢
