No appetite

Hi everyone. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and since about 8 weeks my appetite has just gone. I've had a few weeks of nausea and vomiting but for the last 4 weeks it's mainly been the lack of appetite. I can barely eat anything and I've managed to lose weight since being pregnant.

I'm sure this is a common thing, but any tips on how to eat more or things to eat would be so helpful!

Unless you were of low bmi to start with I wouldn't worry. I've lost 12lbs so far (I'm 16 weeks).

Smoothies and milkshake are good as they don't really fill you up but contain calories and other nutrients. Homemade is obviously best though!

I had this in my last pregnancy and this one. Really bad nausea from 6-11 weeks and then since then (I'm now 16 weeks), just not hungry. I lost weight and am now back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

I try to have small plain things to snack on. Water biscuits are good. Then sometimes I get a brief taste for something - often something crunchy like an apple, so I'll have whatever it is as quick as I can, while I still want it! I'm never hungry for a meal and rarely finish one.

In my last pregnancy this went on until 20 weeks and I had lost 20 pounds by then. I was a normal weight to begin with. Don't worry about it because your baby takes all the nutrients it needs in priority to you (midwife told me). Just try to eat little things when you can.

I’m 22 weeks and have only just got back to my pre pregnancy weight (due to nausea/sickness/loss of appetite). I’m not too worried as I know the baby will be getting what it needs.

Okay good I feel a bit better! I've basically been living off soup which is alright I think still got the vitamins just not the most massive meal. But as long as it's not starving the baby that's fine x

I literally posted this last week! I was starting to get concerned because usually I could eat a scabby donkey as I’m so greedy.

Appetite came back with a vengeance on Sunday... just a had a crisp butty to tide me over till tea!

Same I can eat and never get full normally so this is really unusual for me 😂
