Measuring under 10th centile - anyone any experience

I have had 2 growth scans now and both show baby measuring under 10th centile. I am now 28 weeks and see consultant on Friday. I have been told at previous appointments (as it was expected that baby would be tiny for a number of reasons) that they induce at 37 weeks for under 10th?! Is this the case in anyones experience and when baby came out was it bigger/smaller than estimated?
With my last child I was estimated for being over 90th yet he was born 58th centile. So whilst I know that growth scans arent accurate and there may be nothing wrong with babys size I also worry that they have overestimated anf baby is smaller than they are saying too 🤔

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes, me! I was under 5th at 28 weeks expecting a 5lb baby come 40 weeks, I was beside myself as a FTM. I am now 35 weeks and expecting at least and 8 pounder!!!! I know you’ll be worried but please don’t be, I lost sleep, cried, rang the midwife, stressed and now I have a whopper 😂 for someone who is petite 8lb is pretty good.

Just look after yourself and your baby. I switched to full fat milk, yogurts etc not sure if it made any difference to baby, might have just been a placebo effect. Good luck xx

I havnt any experience .. but can I ask when they started measuring you? Were the growth scans based on fundal height ?

no i had a huge placental bleed at 14 weeks and I have low Papp A so was always going to have them from 28 weeks. Had a smaller bleed around 25 weeks were they chose to scan me and decided to measure baby and blood flow through chord.

My baby was born at 38 weeks. She was a teeny 4lb15. But healthy. Latched on fine etc. No issues.

I'm tiny too at 5ft.

Best of luck OP - try not to worry
