Had vaccine this afternoon I'm now feeling quite sick on and off is it normal? Anyone else experienced this?

The whooping cough vaccine left me feeling like I had a mild case of the flu for about 24 hours (as well as unable to bear weight on the arm it went into) but it soon went away. Hopefully it passes

I didn't feel sick but my arm hurt loads for about 4 or 5 days

Stephisaur · 22/08/2018 15:58

I felt sick for a few hours afterwards but it soon passed.

Beyond that, my arm hurt for a couple of days. Baby was fine at my scan 2 days later so no ill effects on him x

It seems to have eased up a little more arms just starting to ache. The joys x

It’s not a live vaccine so should have no side effects aside from a bit of a sore arm.

One thing I did have was reduced movements, I ended up being assessed for it. After googling, this is apparently very common the day after the vaccine. No idea why and I wasn’t warned.

I had an achy arm but that was about it.

Definitely worth having though - in my local area there have been at least two confirmed cases and one was a baby who ended up being really ill.

No I didn't feel sick... but my arm hurt for LITERALLY 6 weeks afterwards!!
