am i still pregnant?

so this is a hard one. 10th of august i will have been 6 weeks pregnant. but started to have cramps with heavy bleeding and clots. EPU asked me to do another pregnancy test which came back negative. another test the monday also negative. this week a lot of my pregnancy symptoms came back. taken a pregnancy test around 5pm and got a positive test.
i am very confused as 2 tests with EMU confirmed the loss. now late day test says positive and im pretty sure it would of been too early to conceive again so soon after the miscarriage.
does anyone have advice or a similar experience.

I think you need to call EPU and ask their advice. This is definitely a strange one!

I think you need to call your EPU again and ask that they see you, whether it be to monitor your HCG levels or give you an ultrasound. Hugs to you x

thank you lovelies. i am so confused. always happens at awkward times. i really dont want to be bother EPU, and unfortunately my gp is now closed. i'll be doing another test in the morning and phone my gp. hopefully get some answers.

There is hope! I took your advice and spoke to epu. They said im very likely to be in the early stages of pregnancy. To leave it a week and test again! Omg everything's crossed!!!!

@Caz1990 I am in the same situation by too nervous to test. I miscarried at 1st August and stopped bleeding the 6th obviously we've been having unprotected sex since the 10th and all my pregnancy symptoms have come back since the 18th helpppppp Ladies ?! X

Oh its so nerve wrecking. But you can ovulate soon after a miscarriage. So there is hope. Im going to the doctors tomorrow in the hope they can check my levels.
Keep me posted on how you get on, fingers crossed for us both xx

We'd be in the very early stages. So getting a negative is very likely.
I keep testing at the end of the day, im useless at waiting. Getting squinters but nothing 100%
Give yourself a bit of time and hopefully you'll get your answer xx

Really really don’t feel bad about bothering your EPAU. That’s what they’re there for and they are a great resource. I literally lost count of the number of times I went up there over a three month period (suspected miscarriage, then rediagnosed as an ectopic, which rumbled on for ages and necessitated loads of visits, then got pregnant again the following month but with lots of symptoms of another ectopic so multiple further visits!). They never minded, and it’s much better to have your mind put at rest than sit at home worrying and potentially missing something that needs checking out.

Thanks you. I just don't like to put on the medical sector as they're generally under staffed and im scared that id be wasting an appointment if someone else really REALLY needed it.
I did speak with them over the phone and its helped as i thought they were maybe something left over? But id likely be in pain/showing signs of infection... so that helped. Plus they reassured me that it would be very possible to already be pregnant again, whicg would really turn this month around.
Never been so grateful to have morning sickness again hah.
I am sorry to hear about what you went through, my cousin had an ectopic and i couldn't imagine how hard that must have been. I've never had any issues in pregnancy with my son n daughter. So all this has been a bit of a shock to the system lol but again thank you, if theres anymore worries I'll get intouch with EPU :) xx

Well i went to the drs last week. And she was horrible. Told me i was stupid for testing and it cant be possible to get pregnant again... spoke to epu and ive to go for a scan in 4 weeks as ive had another positive test today. Around 3pm.

Miscarriage was on 10th aug. Only lasted a few days. And yes we've had sex since. EPU said we were fine to try as soon as the bleeding had stopped

I was bleeding for ten days with mine so couldn't work out the timings at all! Well it's possibly early pregnancy of course if you had a negative then a positive and you've had sex after the negative. I don't think it would go from negative back to positive because of retained products is that was what you meant by your op.

I didnt know what to think to be completely honest. Was a new experience for me. And it completely wrecked my head...
Yeh a lot have said its really hard trying to figure out timing and whats happening with your body after a loss.
Just hoping things go a bit smoother now

I finally got to see a gp yesterday and she was mortified that no one had sent me for a scan previously. I have one at 8:50 this morning. My gp thinks i may have been carrying twins.
Bleeding started again monday so she thinks i could be losing the 2nd. But she did say there could be plenty of other reasons why i am bleeding as i havent passed much material just lots of blood?
My partner has his hopes up, i wish he wouldn't do that! I already have it in my mind that I've lost both... but i guesd we'll find out today! Xx

Sorry for your loss.
Those tests don't look positive though, blue tests often give smidgen of lines, like that.

I wouldn't worry, it looks like it's just AF and not a miscarriage, they definitely aren't solid positive tests.

A friend of mine was pregnant and bled heavily all the way through the pregnancy. When she went into labour at 7 and a half months she had 3 healthy babies, 2 boys and 1 girl. Stay positive :-)
