Insomnia

Since before I got a positive test I knew I was pregnant because I suffer with pregnancy insomnia ( this is my 4th pregnancy) I'm currently 15 weeks and absolutely shattered. I wake up EVERY DAY at 2:30am like clock work. Doesn't matter if I go to bed later or earlier, 2:30am comes and boom I'm awake.

Anyone else suffer? Anyone else cruising the web at the wee hours from a dark bedroom? Anyone have any solutions to how I might actually make to at least 5am?

So tired

I've been up since 4.30, was up at 3.30 yesterday morning with horrendous dizziness and nausea. I feel your pain! 16+5 today :(

17 weeks and been awake since 1am 😫

I get it in bouts rather than all the time, luckily but go to bed earlier (even ridiculously early) so I get some sleep. Then I just get up when I wake up, have a bath and a mint tea or something and can usually go back to bed at 5:30 for a bit.

Failing sleep, I listen to audiobooks on my phone under my pillow so at least I’m resting. And lots of naps!

Just sympathy, kmreeve, I'm 37 weeks and I'm coping with naps and early bedtimes too... tried headspace's back-to-sleep module, doesn't really work for me. I'm so bloody awake that I've got up and done (quiet) housework some days!

Aww so many ladies awake in the wee hours- somehow comforts me to know you're all up with me, so to speak!

I'm painting the garden fence today... hopefully that'll tire me out for later Wink

It's awful.

Currently 8+4. I've always struggled with insomnia but it gets noticeably worse when I'm pregnant (second pregnancy) especially in the first trimester.

I'm lucky if I'm getting 4 hours sleep a night and it's all broken sleep. The exhaustion is killing me and running after an energetic 3 year old when I just want to collapse is no fun.

I've taken to giving her the iPad and a lollipop so I can kip on the sofa whilst she amuses herself 🙈

Winning at parenting....

@moleeye ... you gotta do what you gotta do to get through. I often win at parenting too GrinWink

I get up every night and am wide awake for about 2 hours, I feel your pain! Happened ever since the early days of pregnancy. I find going to sleep a bit later helps me slightly

kmreeve · 25/08/2018 03:23

Makes no difference what time I go to bed, though lately struggling to get much past 8pm!!

Here I am, wide awake at 3am on Mumsnet

4.30a.m. every morning for me. Been going on for the past month and a half. Seriously sleep deprived now :(

absolutehush · 25/08/2018 05:40

Every night at 3.30am. Feel tired and sick now, worse later.

First pregnancy, no one warned me about this!
