12 week scan today!!

Just venting because OH doesnt understand my fears. Weve waited over a year for this, second child, and i am so anxious and nervous that something will be wrong or ill have had a MMC. Literally every one knows, and my SIL also has her scan today (were due same day) my mums starting buying outfits and blankets. Everything just seems to be going so perfect just convinced its doomed. Trying to remain positive, i hope im not the only one feeling like this 😥

I've felt like this before every scan! (Loads of early scans due to pains) and each time, touch wood, things have been fine. I think it's definitely normal to worry but just try and think positive

I'm sure everything will be perfectly fine - I only know 1 person IRL who has had a MMC, whereas you'd think they were really common by reading online! In reality, less than 1% of pregnancies will end in MMC.

Try to think positive - what time is your scan? :)

I felt exactly the same before mine. I refused to tell anyone except those who absolutely needed to know, I wouldn't even look at the baby aisle in Asda.

All was fine, but your fears are totally normal. I think most of us feel varying degrees of anxiety while waiting for our scans.

Thanks ladies! Its a comfort to know im not the only one a bag of nerves before a scan! With my first i had a full blown panic attack in the waiting room and it turned out fine, i really wished after i hadnt of got so worked up so trying to keep calm this time around. 2pm is scan time, now just having a spot of lunch what i can force down! OH has just announced were going for 12 week scan on fb which is just upped my anxiousness even more 😥😥😥😥😥

I have mine tomorrow and I am so nervous. It's my partner and I's first and we've barely talked about it because I'm terrified of jinxing it. I didn't think I would be like this! Every time I think about it my stomach drops. Good luck! Sending positive vibes!

Why is your other half announcing your going for your 12 week scan when you don’t know yet if everything is ok? The pregnancy shouldn’t of even been announced yet!!! I would be absolutely raging

Hes just over excited, bless him i was annoyed but more the fact if wed have to annouce if wed lost it. Hes been so good though hes such a doting dad he just unfortunately gets over excited lol. Anyway all is good, baby was busy wiggling and sucking its thumb. Good luck for scan tomorrow xx

What a relief for you! So happy to hear that! And thank you. Still feeling so nervous, partner and I have both booked the whole day off, so we'll either have a nice lunch after, or be sobbing in bed!
