UTI in pregnancy

I'm 9 weeks tommorow and have just discovered I have a UTI. I'm not going to be able to go to the doctors until tommorow and I'm really worried as one of my friends once told me that UTI's are the most common cause of early misscarriage. Can anybody reassure me?

If you go tommorrow you'll be fine. Maybe drink some cranberry juice in the meantime which helps . I'm 9 weeks tommorrow as well!

tomorrow is fine. As Ledodgy said, try and drink loads of cranberry juice and water.

These are quite common in early pg so try not to worry and as the others have said keep up your fluids!

Hi goingfor3
i think the commonest cause of an early miscarriage is a chrmosomal abnormality with the embryo. never heard of a link between utis and miscarriage. utis are v v common in pregnancy so try not to worry too much, drink lots of water and cranberry juice if you can stand it, o and you can take paracetamol in pregnancy if you need it

They can't be too dangerous as when they do a urine test for a uti in my EPU the results don't come back for a week!

Thanks all. I've had as much water as I can tolerate and am hoping that will keep it at bay for a while.
