Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar to this; I've googled but can't find the kind of pain I'm experiencing, it all seems to be related to muscular pains which I'm pretty sure this isn't.
For some time I've had an intermittent "tight" feeling in one point of my inner thigh, kind of hard to describe, feels like the skin is really stretched, almost a bit of a pinch, but goes away quickly.
I developed a varicose vein around 30 weeks, on the back of my calf just below my knee, hasn't really cause any problems until now apart from looking horrid!
The last couple of nights when I get out of bed to use the toilet I've had very sharp pains around the varicose veins, painful enough that I end up hobbling as putting my full weight on my leg really hurts. Last night I had the same thing only when I put weight on my leg the pain shot up from where the varicose vein is, to a point about half way up my inner thigh. It literally feels like a flash of pain running along the length of a vein.
It is better this morning but still a little sore. I can't see but DH looked and said there is a very slight pink patch around about the point where the pain stops. The vein all the way up the leg is slightly more visible, but I don't know if it has always been like that!!
I actually convinced myself overnight that I had a blood clot so phoned 111 for advice this morning but they said it sounds fine just to see my GP in the week.
Is this just normal for varicose veins? It's not hot or tender to touch or very red otherwise I would ignore 111 and go and get it checked.
Anything else I've read that sounds similar is about pains shooting down from the hips and groin. I get this too so I know it's not the same and that definitely feels muscular whereas this does not!!
I'm due any day now so probably don't have to put up with it for much longer but just very curious about what it is so interested to know if anyone has had the same or similar. Thanks!
