hi everyone,

I have just found me and my husband are expecting our first child. I am around 8 weeks pregnant we are very excited. However I am having horrendous all day sickness and nausea.
I have tried ginger tea, ginger biscuits and my husband has bought me sickness bands. However this weekend I can bearly keep anything down. I have went off anything flavoured and sticking to dry crackers and biscuits. I have been trying to stomach them to take daily pregnacare vitamins but I'm just bringing them back up.

do any of you have any advice or good home remedies to reduce the sickness?

Hi, I ate dry coco pops, cream crackers and rich tea biscuits. Horrendous diet, I know. Keep them by your bed and nibble on them during the night and before you move in the morning. Ice lollies were the best way to get rid of that awful taste in your mouth. My friend found switching vitamin brand helped too. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Go to the GP. There are drugs they can give you. I was throwing up a dozen times a day until I started on cyclizine (which took it down to twice a day...even now at 25 weeks I retch when cleaning my teeth)

In the interim, I lived on orange juice lollies and McDonald's (it was the only food I could guarantee would stay down at one point)

Thanks all for the advice. I am currently eating an ice lolly as we speak.
I will ring the doctor tomorrow as well to hopefully get something to calm this down.
