I'm 25 weeks pregnant. Sorry for tmi but when we have sex my boobs leak. I'm still feeding my 3 year old once a day so maybe it's that? I'm mortified

Sex releases the oxytocin hormone, which is the "love" hormone. Oxytocin also stimulates your milk.

I'm not pregnant but I'm breastfeeding and have to keep a bra on. The other day, I was in my underwear and my DH kissed me and my boobs started leaking all over the floor 😂🙈
I know the shame all too well lol x

It's nothing to be ashamed of. Your body is doing an amazing thing. Is your partner bothered?

DH thinks it's hilarious I'm mortified. I hate my boobs anyway lol. I'm sure breastfeeding for 3 years hasn't helped them

I wouldn't be mortified or ashamed at all. I think it is an amazing reaction by our bodies. Well done on breastfeeding for three years. I still haven't given birth yet and everyone around me keeps telling me I won't even get to 6 months. You should tell us how you successfully did it!! :)

OP you can manage this however you choose, but please do try not to be embarrassed. It's normal and natural and nobody minds. I've let down during sex, it is what it is and it can be quite funny!

Ginger honestly, once you're say 3 months into BFing the rest is cake. Sore nipples get better, feeds get more widely spaced, you both have the skill down. It sounds like you're surrounded by a real lack of support though which is a shame. I'd get support lined up before you give birth - get your partner onside, find the local BF groups and start attending - because I suspect that sadly those around you will jump in to undermine your confidence at the slightest opportunity with "surely he can't need to feed again" and "you must not have enough milk" and "he'd sleep better if you formula fed" and "maybe you should leave the room so you don't make anyone uncomfortable".

were slowly weaning the 3 year old off the boob so hopefully by the time this baby is born he'll be off. It's hard work at the moment but 3 year old cutting down to about 10 mins before bed

That’s good as I can’t imagine the strain on your body feeding two and 3 is quite old to be feeding xx

Tandem feeding isn't really a big issue, Lucy. Lots of people do it and the 3yo is only feeding a little once a day. It's not any more strain than breastfeeding a baby alone.
