Should I call triage?

Hi I'm not sure wether to phone maternity triage.....

I'm 35 weeks. For the last 3 days I've had back ache on and off alongside period type pains around the front. I've also had some stabbing/shooting pains inside my vagina that take my breath away! There's not been any tightenings/contractions that I'm aware of so nothing to time, and I'm pretty sure it's not early labour but it doesn't feel right.

Better safe than sorry. They may want you to come in for monitoring or they may say it's fine but either way calling will give you some reassurance.

I think I'll phone them. Although I really don't want them to tell me to go in 😞 but if it's best for the baby then I'll do what ever!

Always phone if you're worried. Hope all is ok. X

I called the midwife and she said to go in at 6pm. Will update later. Thank you x

Sounds like normal pregnancy aches and pains but is definitely worth getting a urine sample at the very least because UTI's can cause all the things you have described.

I suffered terribly from them in my first pregnancy.

All is well. Was reassured that whatever it is isn't early labour! Thank goodness! Just put it down to the fact he's a big baby and is moving around plenty and pressing on nerves etc.
