I've had two early miscarriages this year (both quite traumatic and upsetting). We have just found out that we are 5 weeks pregnant, which incredible (but very worrying news).
We are on holiday week 7 which is when we have been offered an early scan. Do we go slightly earlier and potentially ruin our holiday knowing its going to end in heartbreak again or do we wait until after the holiday? I'm worried it will ruin it anyway the not knowing.
It feels like a heaven/hell situation because it would be the best thing in the world if we knew at 7 weeks there was a heartbeat and things were developing well so far, but a complete nightmare to go through another mc. I also have terrible anxiety about attending a scan having had 5 (between the 2 pregnancies) that were all awful in different ways. What would you do? Any tips to get me through the next three weeks of worry? I'm relatively calm most of the time, watching my diet and taking folic acid.
