Would this mean possible miscarriage? I've cramps on and off, aches down my thighs and lower back ache. I get all these when I get my period

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had this around 4-5 weeks really bad as did my friend ! The hormones responsible for pregnancy also act as muscle relaxants in a way so things are just stretching

Aozora13 · 16/08/2018 21:32

I also had it, especially with my first pregnancy. I basically had pms (cramps, sore boobs, weeping etc) with no actual period for a couple of weeks before I twigged there might be something else going on. Hope all goes well, the first trimester can be so anxiety inducing!

Thanks ill try to stop worrying

I had the same as well, and I have had period pains on and off throughout, I'm now 17 weeks. My consultant has said some women just get pains, I think it can just be the stretching etc. If the pain isn't severe and no bleeding then try not to worry. Hard I know, I was and still am a nervous wreck!

I cramped loads in both my pregnancies at around that stage I have a nearly 2 year old and a 32 week bump. Seems to be normal for me

I had awful period like pains in the first few weeks after finding out I was pregnant.
They started going away at around 10 weeks.

I'm 5 weeks and sometimes the pain takes my breath away! Sneezing is agony. If you think about all the changes going on it makes sense, I wouldn't worry unless you get bright red blood .

How many weeks are you? I had this all first trimester but try to remember there is a lot going on in there at the moment, you’re bound to feel things. If it was a miscarriage you’d likely know by now, missed miscarriage is very rare.

I've had this go both ways. First pregnancy I miscarried at 7 weeks with horrendous cramping (I don't get period cramps ever by the way). Currently on my second pregnancy at 9 weeks and had cramping so bad at 5 weeks with this one that I ended up in A and E twice and had an emergency scan. Baby was (and as far as I know, still is) absolutely fine.

I think cramping is OK, but cramping with blood is less OK xx

Thanks everyone, it's reassuring to know its normal

How are u feeling today OP?

Iloveeating · 17/08/2018 20:45

Still have pains on and off but they pass quickly. I have an early scan in less than 2 as I need innohep injections as I had clots before so at least I don't have to wait too long

That should read early scan in less than 2 weeks
