Bleeding at 13 weeks

I'm 13 + 4 and have been feeling a bit rubbish for the last couple of days, thought it was maybe a cold or virus or something but this afternoon went to the bathroom and there was quite a lot of fresh red blood. I've been told wait till tomorrow to go to Epu as they were closed by the time the bleeding started, just wondered if anyone had any experiences they could share? I know I won't know what's happening with the pregnancy until I go tomorrow but just wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar x

Hi there if you bleed a lot of have cramping phone triage as you are over 12 weeks , the same happened to me and it turned out I had a heamatoma , I bled for about 6 weeks on and off then it stopped but baby is fine I’m now nearly full term . The EPU told me the fact I had no cramping was good but obviously you don’t know until you get scanned .

Had a large bleed at 15 weeks but no pain or cramping. Went to a&e , checked, but told to go home nothing they can do, nature takes its course etc, to come back 2 days later for a scan. Lovely midwife scanned me and said "wiggle around" so I did and there he was waving back :-) hes now 4 and sboring away

Snoring

I spoke to a paramedic at my doctors surgery for a while straight after the bleed and he suggested that a&e would likely say the same thing to me about nothing they could do - so glad all worked out for you clearthinking, such a worry when you don’t know what’s happening or why though! I’ve got some pain but not cramping so hoping it’s a nothing bleed x

Hoping that everything goes ok for you and it's nothing to worry about

Thanks clearthinking the maternity unit saw me today and I managed to have a scan too - baby is absolutely fine and there doesn’t appear to be any reason for the bleeding so fingers crossed it was a one off 🤞 x

Glad your had your scan and all is okay! Thought I'd pop by, I recently woke up to a lot of fresh red blood (11ish weeks) and assumed another mc but it dwindled to a lot of spotting, had a scan the next day and like you they found no evidence of any blood around baby or in the uterus. Passed a large clot and a bit more blood the day after and absolutely nothing since!
Here if you need to vent your worries! Good luck for the rest of the pregnancy!
