39+3 and feel like I'm leaking

Hello, I'm not sure if I'm just being over dramatic as I'm so near to my due date but I feel like I'm leaning slowly. Every time I stand up I get a trickle. Not enough to fill a pad an hour but enough to wet my panty liner. I don't want to keep running to MAU In case it ends up as nothing 😩 as I've been up for various things through my pregnancy (around 6 times) so I feel a pest but not sure what to do. Also lost my plug yesterday. Thanks In advance for any replies :) x

The maternity unit won't mind seeing you. That's their job. I'd give them a call and explain just to check and then they can advise.

Ring them for advice, they will let you know whether they want you to go in. You are very close to the end so this could very easily be the start. Good luck and congratulations

Sounds like it could be your waters. Someone in my NCT class thought they were wetting themselves for about a week but it turned out she was slowly trickling her waters. Call your maternity unit and ask whether they want to see you.

I’d get it checked. With DS my waters were only a trickle, and didn’t break properly until my last push! It was a few hours from wetting a pad to having him.

Give them a ring and go in with a wet pad if you can as they'll be able to check to see if it's amniotic fluid or just rogue pee! Does it smell at all? If I remember rightly it smells kind of sweet...

Please ring the hospital as it could be your waters leaking slowly in which case they usually want you to go into labour within 24hours to avoid infection.

I had this at 38w and stupidly didn’t go in for 3 days as I was sure it was my bladder as the liquid didn’t have a distinctive sweet smell which your waters are supposed to have. It was in fact my waters and they put me on antibiotics immediately and on a drip to augment labour (I was 4cm already and hadn’t felt a thing!) All turned out fine though.

Good luck, looks like baby could be on the way!

Thanks for your replies ladies! I've spoken to local MAU and they've asked me to go in to get checked just to be safe. Hate feeling like a pester them as they have a lot to deal with but suppose it's better to be safe than sorry' thanks again ladies x
