So my best friend is organising my baby shower at her own request but I gave her a list of people to invite.
To cut a long story short, my partners parents are split. Im really close to all his mums family as they do a lot of family things. On his dads side, only his dad and wife.
Have invited his dads wife as we do get on but the rest is his mums side, my family and friends. Yet today, my friend got a rude message from the wife asking why my partners auntie and nan arent invited.
I've never met them in the years we've been together as they are very old school people, and decided to maintain their relationship with my partners ex which has never bothered me. It was their choice to then not make effort to have one with me also (me and the ex get on fine, my partner has a child with her) Yet now they expect invites?
Am I out of line for not inviting them?
