I’m 39+4 (or 40+0) going by my dates. I’ve had mild period cramping for about 4 weeks. The last few days I’ve had more discharge than normal - it looked a bit like the clear stuff you get before EWCM when TTC so thought it might be the mucous plug starting to come away.
Today I went for a really long walk and when I got home there was a big lump of what I thought might be the plug but I wasn’t sure as it didn’t have any blood streaks on it. Have been mega uncomfortable all afternoon and this evening the period pains have got quite painful. They’re also coming and going like I’d imagine contractions to come. I just went to the loo and no more plug, but some blood on wiping.
Does this sound like it could be the start of something? The bad period cramps and coming every few minutes and lasting about a minute each.
