In limbo between early scan and 12 week scan

Pregnant after 2 miscarriages!

Had an early scan last week and it said I’m 8+3! All was looking ok!

I’m now 9+1 and back to paranoia waiting for the 12 week scan- haven’t had my appointment through yet!

Anyone else stuck in limbo! I’ve googled everything I possibly can!!!! Just want to get to 12 and
Know all is still ok! X

I have just this minute walked out of this limbo.

Previous pregnancies were a miscarriage at 10wk followed by ectopic. Had a scan at 8+3 which showed everything was fine. But the 4 week wait till today has been absolute hell. Thinking the worst has happened, no sleep, stress and anxiety on top of morning sickness. It's not been fun and my heads been a mess. So I get how your feeling and it's crap because there is nothing you can do but sit and wait it out.

But just had my 12 week scan and all was well.

Hi @Embobolina88 I could have written this myselfThanks
I also had an early scan at 8+3 for reassurance due to previous MMC. Today I am 9+6 and don't have my 12 week scan til 12+6. I'm freaking out something has gone wrong too. Considering booking another reassurance scan at the weekend. Are you going to book a private scan to double check everything is ok?
Are you enjoying your pregnancy? I don't think I will be able to enjoy mine for some time yet as I'm petrified of another MC.
Will keep everything crossed for you x

That's why I decided against paying for a private "reassurance" scan - I thought it would only be reassuring for a day or so then I'd go back to worrying! I had an NHS scan at 7w and the wait until 12w was loooong.

I feel this way except i haven’t even had a scan as can’t afford £70 right now I’m supposedly 10 weeks 5 days scan Thursday nhs Scared 😟

I just had a private scan at 10 weeks after feeling unable to wait until my 12 week one Grin I've also had a previous MMC and everything looks good with this bean Smile

@bluechameleon I think you're right, it only provides reassurance for a short while then you feel the need for further reassurance. In my case I think it means that I'll likely book a second 'reassurance' scan Confused

My early scan was at the hospital. I paid for an early scan at 9 weeks last time and was told there was yolk sac only, no baby. I had no support from them and it was horrendous so refused to pay for one this time. Prior to that I lost a baby at 11 weeks just before my first scan.

I felt amazing last week after the 8+3 scan but now can’t stop worrying something will happen before the next one!!!

Congratulations @cobaltrose! Beautiful scan.

I’m not enjoying it so far as so much paranoia from last times! I think by 14 weeks I might calm down a bit. It’s so hard to switch off and remain positive but I am trying!!!
