So I woke up early hours this morning about 4 clock to go to the toilet now when I did their was bright red blood spots on my tissue I thought I was going mad so I got another piece and dabbed it their and yet again blood spots. And was deffo bright red. I did that 4 times before nothing then came up. But now I'm lying in bed and I've got on an off cramps not major ones or really painful but can feel them. Any ideas??

Call your midwife. Or go to a walk in clinic. I was told some spotting and mild cramping was normal in the early stages. I had bleeding at 7 weeks and again at 14 weeks. And had cramps on and off through my whole pregnancy. But everything turned out fine and DD is now 5 months old! Get it looked into though, don't leave it. For your own peace of mind and to make sure everything is ok.

You could have what they call a friable cervix (overly sensitive cervix) or a low lying placenta. With my second ds I would get spotting very ocassionally if I had a bowel movement (sorry for the tmi) and it turned out I had a placenta previa which resolved itself towards the end of the second trimester. Definately contact your GP or midwife as they will likely want you to be scanned just to make sure everything is okay (got scanned the first time it happened to me). Flowers
