Anxiety, 5 weeks

I'm 5 weeks 5 days pregnant from my LMP, I've got a scan next week as I had an early miscarriage a few months ago. I've had dull cramps today, similar to that when I'm due on...no bleeding but these cramps seem to have not let off and I've just been 'achey' all morning. I've taken another pregnancy test and it's still a strong positive, I'm just hoping this is normal and not the start of another loss! When does cramping become a concern? Sorry to be a nuisance, I'm just so worried that things could go wrong at any moment 🙁

I'm similar. I'm exactly 5 weeks from IVF. Second round, 1st positive, no other children. Anxious too...don;t know what to do myself.

The waiting is absolutely horrible @lelliec are you getting any extra care? Have you got a scan booked soon? I've got one next week (a week today) when I'm 6+5, so that's helping me break down time a little bit. Hoping we have lovely, long boring pregnancies!

It's very normal and a sign that everything is progressing as it should!

I'm feeling the same, had two previous mcs and keep expecting to see blood. I've got cramping and have also been told it's normal. Hope you are ok, now long till your scan now 😊

No extra care. Scan booked for 29/8, feels a LONG time away!

Hi I’m 21+3 weeks today, I had exactly the same pains as you from 4-6 weeks. I think it was just my body adjusting. My pains weren’t long lasting though. Get seen as soon as possible I’d say but as long as there is no bleeding please try not to worry too much. Wish you all the best x

I'm 13+3 and still get aches similar to period pain now and again.

I got them regularly until around 8 weeks. It's pretty normal as far as I'm aware.

I was exactly the same and told I could just feel stretching. It wasn't painful cramps just weird sensation cramps. We had our 12 week scan yesterday and all was fine.

I was so anxious the whole time before the scan even with 2 private scans,

Thank you so much everyone, it's not painful as such just a little uncomfortable, can't wait for my scan next week! Pregnancy is definitely harder in my opinion after a loss, I'm so paranoid every time I go to the toilet and about every cramp or niggle ❤️

6 weeks today, my symptoms have seemed to have reduced and I'm just not feeling very confident, hopefully I'm just overthinking after spending a fair few hours with Dr Google over the last few days, and reading all about missed miscarriages.....can't wait for Tuesday for my scan!

@caitlinn try and stay positive. I worried at 8 weeks my symptoms disappeared so booked a private scan and low and behold a week later I was back to nausea!
