I'm 13 weeks and have been getting really short of breath in the last couple of days, I'm not gasping for air but feels like I have been for a light jog even when sitting down - has anyone else experienced this? x

Yes - from a similar stage. Initially thought was anxiety but felt it when not anxious too and went to GP who has referred me for blood tests as apparently could be iron but also could just be pregnancy as hormones and more blood make the heart work harder - maybe get your iron tested too just in case?

I had something similar and it was a temporary heart murmur due to increased blood volume. But why are you asking on here? You need a GPs appointment urgently as I was also investigated for possible blood clots - there was no presumption that it was just a temporary heart murmur.

I had this from a similar stage. I got it checked with the GP who said all my stats were fine and to go back if it got worse or go straight to A&E if I felt light headed or passed out. It went away on its own around 15-16 weeks. No idea what caused it.

I’m coming up to 12 weeks and I’ve started to have this too.

I usually get low iron when pregnant but been feeling pretty good this pregnancy and no results back from midwife appointment so assumed levels were fine. Got GPs this morning to double check, hopefully it will be same as you @fourplusonemore I don't feel ill just breathless and I spend a lot of time talking on the phone and it sounds like I've been for a run! x
