I'm about 9 weeks preg now and I can't get into my docs till 20th june (will make me 12 weeks) had a MC 2 years ago and was told then that I'd have more done this time. More scans etc.

Am I worrying over nothing that i'm not going to see anyone till then, so prob no scan till 13/14 weeks etc.

Should I just go straight to the hospital (which I am going to give birth in anyway) and ask to be registered scans etc?

I've also got a horrid feeling that the docs are gonna want to do blood tests etc to prove i'm preg etc before they'll do anything proper.

Should I call the docs and explain things to them and see if they can make it quicker etc?

In fact those who've been there before, is there anything I should be doing now at 9 weeks? I'm taking Folic acid but is there anything else? Is there stuff I shouldn't be doing?

I know i'm prob worrying bout nothing and ranting but someone slap me before I run to the hospital demanding they scan me NOW lol

Congragulations Jenswish!

When i found out i was pregnant i went along to my doctor and she didn't do any test. She advised me to make an appointment with the midwife to book me in. So maybe you should try to contact your midwife and see if they can see you any quicker. it was the midwife who referred me for my scan and did all the blood tests.

As far as what you should be doing i think you just take care of yourself - avoid the no go foods in pregnancy ect. The folic acid is the main thing.

Hope you get to see someone soon!!

I had 2 mc recently - they didn't do anything different this pregnancy. I saw a midwife at 11 weeks and had my scan on Friday at 14 weeks. They didn't do any tests to prove I was pregnanct - well apart from the scan! TBH there is nothing they can do if you are going to have another mc.

Thats the calm voice. If something was to go wrong what could they do so maybe it's better to not check until the later times.

During the Pg that MC'd I had a scan at 7 weeks as I didn't know any dates and you could see heartbeat etc so I assumed all was ok but then we went back for the 12 wk scan baby had died.

So at least this time when I have my scan it should be ok after that.
