Oyster Max. Does anyone know....

I have a regular Oyster rather than a Max, it doesn't convert to a tandem.

Dd2 will likely be about 2 years 4/5 months by the time a newborn comes along, so walking but I reckon she'd still need the
buggy if we're out and about for a bit longer.

I'm wondering, since I already have the seat and the carrycot.... If I managed to get a Max frame would they just clip on ? I've seen some selling on eBay so thinking it'd save money if I only had to buy the frame. I doubt I'd need a second toddler seat, she should be out of it completely by the time the baby outgrew the carrycot. They look exactly the same so I'm hoping the bits I have would be compatible with the Max frame .

Thanks !

You should be fine yes

I looked into this recently and everything I could find said that the Oyster Carrycot wouldn't fit on the Oyster Max chassis. Apparently they're too wide for the frame and don't fit safely.

I've seen a few people say that car seats and the actual Oyster seat unit fit on the Max frame but I'm not sure how true that is as I can't say I've asked an expert.

The only thing I can think is to maybe pop into a local pram shop and see if they have any knowledge? Maybe a mothercare or something?
