Heavy bleeding after sex in the first trimester

Hi all,

This is my 4th pregnancy. I have two beautiful boys and I lost my baby girl in May due to catching Parvovirus. I did the whole labour thing with her as it was a second trimester loss. I’m pregnant again (7 weeks) already which has been wonderful and anxiety inducing too. I’m booked in to see the midwife on Tuesday.

However, this weekend, my partner and I had sex and then I had a massive gust of red blood! It took a couple of hours to settle. I called EPU and the midwife reassured me that the sex will have caused it. That happened on Saturday and I’m still slightly spotting when I go for a wee. I am beside myself with worry and anxiety. I haven’t had any cramping but did have a slightly sore back.
Has anyone experienced this? Due to my last loss, I am having an early scan but not until next Thursday.
I can’t help but fear the worst :( x
