when can i test?

this is my first month of trying to conceive, my first day of my LMP was the 16th of may, and so i think i am about 8 days away from my test, but i am having so many symtoms, feeling hot, feeling very sick in the mornings though not being sick (just like with my last two) sore boobs that have been getting sorer each day, very irritable and sleepy...not wanting to eat and when i do eat not enjoying it (same as last two) I AM SO IMPATIENT LOL, when is the earliest i can test?

If you look on the leaflet in the first response box it gives you the % reliability depending on how many days before your periods due. If I remember right testing 10 days early gives you a 50% chance of a false negative. Loads of symptoms sounds very encourging but you could end up spending a fortune!! If you test 4 days before I think the chances of a false negative drop to 15% or less so the longer you wait the more accurate it'll be so if you can bear to wait til thursday I would.

Know what you mean, first month of trying and my LMP 11th May and my boobs sore but I think I could be imagining it. Very grumpy but could be pmt. Desperate to test but it is simply too early for either of us. I can hardly bear to wait any longer!

If you test earlier than your period being due, you need to test in the morning cause that's when the HCG levels are the highest. They say that you can test up to 4 days before you're due.

I tested 4 days before my P was due and got a very faint positive. As the other girls said- test first thing as your wee is more concentrated then.

I tested last night in the end and it was negative but I am pretty sure I am pg. I Think it was just too early. Serves me right for not taking my own advice!

Hi feelinbloo I ovualted on the Friday, had a bleed on the Tues/Wed which was brown.. though something was a bit funny so tested on the following sun and got a bfp..so I was exactly 6/7 days past ovulation which is early but sometimes it is! Good Luck keep us posted!!!
