anybody NOT get any braxton hicks?

i’m 34+5 with my second baby and i never got any braxton hicks with my first pregnancy and so far none with this either. is that unusual? everywhere i read, ladies are always getting them. should i feel left out

Me! I had nothing until my waters went then a few hours later I got contractions.

I never got them during my pregnancy. I ended up being induced 40+5. I never know the feeling of braxton hicks when women talk about having them I don't believe it's an unusual thing but I'm unsure xx

Me neither- I could feel my bump was “tighter” at times, usually in the middle of the night when I woke to wee , but not once did I get any cramps or pains with it!

oh, i’m really glad it’s not just me!

i remember going in for monitoring at around 37 weeks with my first baby as she had a really quiet day with movement. the midwife told me the reading showed i was having contractions that were probably braxton hicks but i didn’t feel a thing.

I never got braxton hicks or natural contractions for that matter... went to 42 wks and still not a sniff of anything so got induced

Same! I'm 33 weeks and had monitoring recently and midwife said that I was having Braxton Hicks contractions whilst I was on the monitoring machine which was a surprise as I've not felt anything thankfully!

3rd baby and I have never had what I would identify as a braxton hick, lightning crotch absolutely and felt bump tighten occasionally but never contractions, even when my waters broke with my 2nd ds I never had contractions (had to be induced due to meconium in water).

I didn't get them in the first pregnancy, but got lots in the second. You're not missing out, they are rubbish, every time I was convinced I was going into labour!

I didn't think so, but like you I was in for monitoring one night & it showed I was having them but I didn't feel a thing!

Nope, 35+6 with dc2 and haven't had them with either. Didn't labour with DC1 even with four induction attempts so maybe my body just doesn't do contractions!

i definitely had contractions in labour 😂 just no braxton hicks ever. seems to be quite common.
