Bleeding after Sex - 12 weeks

Hi everyone

Last night had some bleeding during sex - not spotting but proper bright red blood. Didn't realise until afterwards as it was dark. This was the first time in about a month and was slightly painful at points.

Woke up this morning and no more bleeding so far, I did sleep with a panty liner which is clean however I do have a dull tummy ache.

Completely panicked last night but did read it can be due to the blood vessels of the cervix softening? It was so scary seeing blood as up until now I have had no issues, scan last week showed a normal baby.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I had a cervical ectropion in pregnancy and I understand that they can bleed after sex.

I did a post like this yesterday or the day before lol.. I had sex on Wednesday and bled bright red straight after but only when I wiped. I shit myself... I told my midwife but she didn't tell me anything apart from have a scan and wait it out. Thankfully it stopped yesterday It didnt got onto a pad just when I wiped... I had no cramps or anything and still feel pregnant... so I have my 12 week scan on Thursdays and praying all is OK. I did the worse thing a Googled it lol hope your OK. And have u rang epas for a early scan? X

This used to happen to me up to 12 weeks and all is fine with baby, obviously if you get extreme pain or bleeding I would seek help but a little bleeding with no pain after sex us usually nothing to worry about.
