Circulation

I’ve noticed for the past few nights I keep on getting crampy numbness in my legs. It was really uncomfortable last night. It doesn’t seem to be affected by the position I’m in.
I’ve been getting a dead leg and complete numbness in one leg when I’m sitting down for a while too.
I also keep getting pins and needles in my hands.
Lying in bed last night with the leg cramps i started to get a bit worried. Is this normal or could all of this actually be a problem with circulation?
I've also posted this in general health. I've just been reading about the placenta and now I'm concerned that if my circulation is bad it could be affecting circulation to the placenta. Bloody google!

How far along are you?

Although we talk about cutting off circulation when we get a dead leg or numb fingers, it's actually the nerves that are affected, not the blood supply.

Things like carpal tunnel, sciatica, restless legs etc are common during pregnancy as the amount of blood in your body increases and presses on nerves, and also as your uterus takes up more and more space. Not comfortable, but generally harmless

Thank you for your reply. I'm 33 weeks.
It doesn't sound as if it's anything to worry about then. I'm seeing my midwife next week so I will mention it to her too.
