Do you know how many weeks you are?

It’s pretty common to get a positive and then a negative in the early stages. Happened to me on a hospital test!

Wait a few days and test first thing in the morning. Oherwise, a blood test at the doctor can confirm if you’re still getting negatives or are concerned.

I dont know of if i am im trying to find out the clearblue says im not but early detection theres a faint line on everyone i take

Clear blue digitalis are much less sensitive so you need to be further along for it to be detected compared to early response/ low sensitivity tests.

Congrats!

ReginaPhalange89 · 12/08/2018 18:25

Clear blue are crap for early testing , I'd stick with first response/pink dye test!

meglinco · 12/08/2018 18:45

Thanks im going to take a better early testing one x

meglinco · 12/08/2018 21:18

Dunno which one to believe got a doc app on the 22 what do i do just take my test with me even if its just faint ?

Angelmiracle · 12/08/2018 21:32

You need very high levels of hcg for the CB digital to detect pregnancy! I waited until 6 weeks preg before doing one it said 3+ weeks. Try a first response early result FRER I got my faint line on it 10 days after ovulation.

Angelmiracle · 12/08/2018 21:33

That's how faint it was I'm 8 weeks today.

I brought my test with me GP didn't ask to see it took me at my word! When was your last period?

meglinco · 12/08/2018 21:51

I wouldnt know how far along i was , i was on the pill too ? With the odd forgeting but taking it later in the day id say about june/july but the end i cant remember the date

What time of day is it where you are? You need to test with the first urine of the day , you should get stronger lines then. If you're having lines on the tests but the digital isn't picking it up then you're obviously just not far on, it's likely early days but I'd say you are definitely pregnant. I had strong positives for a few days but clear blue said not pregnant. You need high levels of hormone for those tests

meglinco · 12/08/2018 22:03

Its just gone 10 i get the off negitive but the urine isnt as strong if you get what i mean when you look at it tmi sorry

ReginaPhalange89 · 12/08/2018 22:04

Do one first thing in the morning, and don't do a digital , it's too early

meglinco · 12/08/2018 22:08

I thought digital would be more accurate? When would you take a digital from now ??? Got gp on 22 feel like i need a sooner one , im on the pill though should i stop that but when you stop you get a chemical bleed ??

OP posts:
ReginaPhalange89 · 12/08/2018 22:26

If you think you're pregnant yes stop taking the pill immediately.

No, as I've said above the digital needs a higher amount of HCG (the pregnancy hormone) to pick it up. The first response/pink dye tests only need a tiny bit to get a positive, the digitals are not sensitive at all. So if you're getting lines on the cheaper tests you are pregnant, just not far enough along for a digital

ReginaPhalange89 · 12/08/2018 22:27

I'd wait another week for a digital I think. I got a positive first response 10/11 days after ovulation and I think it was another week, maybe longer before digitals picked it up

ReginaPhalange89 · 12/08/2018 22:29

Also what's the GP appointment for ? I didn't see a gp at the beginning of either of my pregnancies. They just scheduled a mw appt

meglinco · 12/08/2018 22:37

It was for ironically a fertility test 😂 but i might ask them to confirm the pregnancy

OP posts:
Frazzled2207 · 12/08/2018 23:03

Gp can't/won't confirm pregnancy.
By the 22nd it should be obvious either way.

CBs are less sensitive than the cheapies which will be accurate although it is very early days.

Superdrug do really good ones that show up early if you want to try a different brand.
Don't try a digital one yet because it might well say not pregnant because you're not far enough along yet not because you're not.

Frazzled2207 · 12/08/2018 23:04

I mean by the 22nd you will have a clear result or not.
I didn't mean you'll necessarily have any other symptoms.

JuJu2017 · 12/08/2018 23:11

Just said and see what happens. It sounds awful but early pregnancy is a minefield. I got two faint lines on a home preg test, a positive at the doctors, and two positive results on a digital clear blue test (which is apparently one of the least sensitive) but then another doctor did a test which apparently negative with maybe the slightest hint of a line but nothing thag told her I was pregnant . Had a scan that showed nothing. I re tested and it was faint positive. I’ve now been told to keep testing and see what happens .

meglinco · 12/08/2018 23:12
