I've been so ill for the last 2 week's now with sickness, tonight I started vomiting blood 😷 so I gave the maternity unit a phone just in case and the first thing she asked was if it was my first baby because "these things happen yeno" then tried to tell me to go back to my GP for more anti sickness tablets that don't work😭😭 I'm just so fed up of being ill 😪 I just want to cry all the time and not get out my pyjamas! (Luckily I've had 2 weeks annual leave) so I suppose I just need reassurance it's all worth it because it's hard to see atm😩

You poor thing :( I had HG my entire pregnancy and know how awful it is. I also know how dismissive some doctors and nurses can be for it.

I would go into the emergency room. If you are throwing up the point of throwing up blood, you probably need IV fluids. It is not normal to throw up that much when pregnant (or any other time! And I have a feeling if you weren’t pregnant you would be given more care if you threw up blood)

Poor thing. My friend had this and it was a tear in her throat from throwing up so much.
Yes do go back. Sending hugs.

And to answer your other question, it is 100% worth it! My twins are 4 now, so it’s easier for me to say that. When I was pregnant, I didn’t know how or if I could get through it.

Keep going to the doctor until you get some help. Some medications are better than others. I found zofran wafers helped cut down on the vomiting. Unfortunately nothing helped with the 24 hour nausea.

I hope you feel better soon

You poor thing @MissMoodyMoo! That sounds awful :( I would deffo say go to GP or even A&E if it gets worse through the night because vomiting blood is NOT normal, pregnant or not.

I hope you feel betterThanks Think of lil baby.

Poor you. I’ve had hg through both pregnancies and it’s just awful. I’ve also thrown up blood.

It’s usually a tear in the throat.

How much blood and what does it look like? If its streaks of fresh red blood in your vomit that’s most likely. If it’s a significant volume or if it looks like old coffee grounds then that’s an emergency.

I’ve found a really big difference in how different hcps react. My second pregnancy I was much pushier and refused to be fobbed off with being told that being sick up to 50x a day is normal.

You may need a drip, but you should have this checked out and new medication tried if the stuff you’re on isn’t working.

It’s awful, I really feel sorry for you

Go to gp and ask them to check urine, and they may then refer you to the maternity unit.

I had blood sometimes but it was literally blood vessels busting.

I'm maternity unit now, had my lovely IM injection in the bum 😂 hopefully can eat something and I'll not need fluids 🎉🎉 I also have lost 8lb since my last weigh in and have a UTI
