Weird one - heartbeat gone super mad, anyone else?

Mentioned this to my midwife yesterday who said was not at all uncommon and not worrying but is really distracting and wondering if anyone else has it? Heartbeat often feels like just got off a treadmill or drunk 15 cans of coat - anyone else? Not all the time and had thought was anxiety but that’s really subsided now - when I sit down or lie down even really noticeable! Not worried as midwife said normal but bit annoying.

Mine was like this, and possibly connected to low iron.
I started having spatone every day which helped.

It's quite common, I believe. I wear a fitbit - my normal pre-pregnancy resting heart rate is an average of 54bpm. I'm 30 weeks at the moment, i'm sitting here doing nothing but typing this and it's registering 86bpm. So quite a difference. From what i've read it's to do with the massive increase in blood volume and the heart working faster to pump it around the body?

Yeah think I read that but wasn’t sure why hadn’t noticed before? Suspect because too busy feeling like crap! Ok good tip on iron too xxx

I get something like you're (I think). When I first got them my midwife sent me off for an ECG which came back fine. Now I'm 38w I know it's just Braxton Hicks. They make my chest tighten and it feels like my heart beat gets stronger.

I had this. And kept feeling like a skipped beat.
They sent me for an ECG (I think?!) Anyway it was the pads on my chest.
All was fine.
Apparently it’s common with the larger amount of blood going round your body when pregnant.

Yes mine too - also had an ecg which came back fine. My worst was around 16 - 20 weeks and now I’m 27 and it seems to have calmed down now

I’m just coming up to 16 so that’s interesting! Midwife did say totally normal just weird when watching telly and suddenly feel like run a 10k!
