Spotting 4&5 weeks

Hi

I am hoping to get some advice, maybe some one might have had the same thing. I am 5 weeks pregnant and I have had brown spotting at 4 weeks (day before & day my period was due), then again yesterday. It is very light each time, mainly when I wipe after going to the toilet.

I have been to the doctors, they have offered me a scan but I am unsure that there is any point in this as I don't think anything will be visible due to being so early on in the pregnancy. Could this just be implantation?

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

I had spotting slightly later than you at 10 weeks, for a week. I was actually on holiday at the time and by the time I came home it had stopped.

I now have a healthy 16 month old so try not to let it worry you too much
