In the first trimester? Sorry if not a pertinent question!

Why wouldn’t you be able to?

My SIL got Mani-Pedis all through her 3 pregnancies :) x

Yes, why wouldn’t you be able to?

I've been reading conflicting nonsense online!

yes! you could try to avoid excessive salon fumes and sit in a more well ventilated seat i.e. near a window or fan, but don't worry too much - we breathe polluted air anyway. nails don't absorb chemicals from gels and nail paints if that's what you're worried about. enjoy your pedi!

I must admit I didn't know if you could either....isn't it something to do with the pressure points and massaging of the feet/foot spa usage?

Dalesgirl16 · 08/08/2018 14:18

Yes, the pressure points are what I've read about. I was concerned about chemicals too

You should just have to let them know that you are pregnant and they will change what lotions they use and probably won't do certain massages.
If you are really bothered maybe wait till you are in the second trimester.

How on earth would humans ever have managed to reproduce if pressure on the feet could damage a pregnancy?! Women miscarrying every time they put their foot on the floor a bit funny?

Reflexology is total woo. Of course you can have a pedicure.
