Hi all

Having a bit of a hormonal meltdown today...

I’m currently 13 + 5 weeks. I’ve just returned home at midnight from a 4 day trip which has taken it out of me, the heat was unbearable which didn’t help matters.

Anyway my lovely mum likes to pass her opinion too much, which has resulted in me questioning a few things and totally unnecessary upsetting myself.

She said that it’s not normal how tired I am and I need to go and see a Doctor (not caringly, more just annoyed because I’m chilling watching tv today and not particularly doing anything). Prior to being pregnant I was always one for a good nap, and now I am pregnant I feel that I really do need a nap after work most days as I feel drained in the afternoons. I’m also still feeling a big nauseous, and I have not had an appetite for weeks/unable to eat much for weeks which is probably not helping my energy levels.

I know I am being over sensitive but I’m now feeling unsure in myself. Is it normal to feel very tired and need to have a naps every day?

I will point out that my iron levels came back fine so it’s not anything to do with that...

Thanks :)

Op, are you in the U.K. or Europe?
The first thing any GP or midwife will tell you is that you can carry on doing any activity that your body is already used to.
And your body is not used to travelling in 32 degree heat. As long as you feel better after a good night’s sleep and plenty of fluids, then you should be fine.

Obviously go to the GP if you don’t feel well but otherwise, listen to & trust your own body.

Maybe your mum was never pregnant in a heatwave. Flowers

I was in Spain, but I’m home now (UK).

I felt like this prior to going on holiday!

I personally don’t feel the need to go to a GP about it, however it’s unhelpful when people put doubt in your head like that! I feel like people forget what it’s like to be pregnant ugh!
