Hello so I'm very newly pregnant and it's already been so stressful as we had a scare when a scan wouldn't pick anything up - turns out I was earlier than I thought and have a new scan booked for Thursday Smile

Any tips, stories, recommended buys would be much appreciated there's so much to learn! But I'm excited and would love to exchange journeys with other new mums

Hope to hear from you

Emily xox

I am a first timer. 19 weeks currently. I've no idea what I am doing so would be more than happy to share anything I find out/swap tips. Congratulations to you x

@Liverbird77 congratulations!
I have a doctors app today as the 'booking in app' then I have another scan tomorrow as last week they couldn't see anything but my hormone levels wasn't that high so I think I'm a lot earlier than I thought - perhaps 5/6 weeks.

How are you feeling? Sorry for the info but my boobs are killing me! X

read your orange book! I didn't know where to start and ignored my orange book only to find loads of useful info in there towards the end of my pregnancy lol. the week by week pregnancy book was really valuable I found - you can buy it relatively cheap on amazon or eBay second hand. try not to let anxiety overshadow the enjoyment of pregnancy - it's a life changing journey and steepest learning curve of your life but you don't need to read all the books out there - just take care of yourself and embrace the changes :D

@cockneymama2018 thank you! Is it just called the orange book? Or does it have another name? I would love to read a book on it but don't know the best one to buy x

With you on the boob front...so sore!! The booking in was really straightforward. They do height, weight and blood pressure, ask you loads of questions on yours and your family medical history and do a blood test. I hate blood tests so they let me have mine done by phlebotomy...didn't hardly feel it!! Good luck with it. I've got my 20 week scan on the 15th...will report back!

@Liverbird77 yeah I've heard it's pretty straight forward. I just want to know how far along I am! I'm so impatient haha can't wait for my scan tomorrow. Yes please do I hope all goes well X

First timer here as well! :) Nice to meet you! Reading so much scary stuff on internet lol :D

emilyanne96 · 08/08/2018 10:50

@Dreamy89 congratulations! How far are you?
Don't be googling! Worst thing you can do I'm saying that from experience haha I'm a worrier. Are you excited? I've felt sick all morning I can't shift it X

Just had my scan and they confirmed it was just too early to tell there’s a little sack there but a really tiny baby they could hardly see it so I’ve got another in 2 weeks time she’s said she reckons I’m just over 5 weeks 😍💖💙 xxx
