Hi.
I've had a miscarriage on Wednesday, I was 5 weeks. I had two days off work afterwards and obviously the weekend. But it's hit me more over the weekend... I'm worried I've rushed coming back to work & I'm worried if I go home I'll be judged. Any advice?

Sorry for your loss. It is never easy to go through something like this. If you need time, go home and assess your feelings away from people at work. Don't worry about what other people think. If you have a HR dept. or a manager that you can talk too, then do so. Miscarriage cannot be treated as "sickness" because it isn't. so don't worry that it will affect your sickness record. Miscarriage is a human factor that only affects women, so there should also be no discrimination from anyone regarding your circumstances. I lost 2 babies, and am currently unsure as to the viability of my current pregnancy (I am being scanned on Friday to find out). So I understand and I also have experience in this area. If you need time, take it. Psychologically we need to heal too as that baby was all your dreams, all your hopes and all your wants and you have to process that it is no longer here. Take some time for time for you. Have a bath, read a book and try to rest x

Hi @Delilah7 I don't know if you remember me from the TTC board but I've been watching your journey and I'm so sorry for what's happened.

I got my BFP last week (should be 4 weeks 2 day today), but I've been bleeding this morning so I've just came out of a and e.

As I say, I'm only 4 weeks so the doctors couldn't tell me if it's a miscarriage or not just yet so they told me to just rest and basically wait and see.

I called my HR dept at work as my manager is a bit scary and they were so nice, they told me to take all the time that I need. And that's what I definitely think you should do, it's so draining physically and mentally 😞

Always here if you need a talk, hope you're as ok as can be x

@sparkles1013 I'm so sorry for what you've been through thank you for the advise. I'm on half a days till Wednesday and go back fully Thursday. My work are very good just hope it's enough. Want to try for another but feel guilty.
@sachabloom hello darling! thank you, congrats on your BFP. Fingers crossed it's nothing bad, just be aware of bleeding and pains together and never doubt your gut!! I'm sure it'll be fine but I'm here if needed xx

@Delilah7 thank you lovely. How are you feeling today?

What made you go to the hospital? Did you have pains and bleeding? X x

Take at least 1 week off, don't be hard on yourself if you need more. You may still be in shock.

@sachabloom I'm feeling ok, it's sinking in more now which is why I've got half days till Wednesday and if I need more I can have it. I had brown discharge with some period pains and then red bleeding with more intense pains. Just be careful, keep an eye or a diary of stuff. It will help. Hoping we can try again once everything's sunk in.

@peachesarenom thank you. I'm having half days till Wednesday. Hopefully that will be enough xx
