Did your boobs seem exactly the same when pregnant?

Hi there
I've just found out I'm pregnant. I am really worried because I don't have any symptoms, except a missed period. My friends told me my boobs would swell up and be sore but they haven't and don't. I feel nothing, really. Is this normal or is it a bad sign?
Thanks.

I don't think anything happened to mine.

It's all very variable, the kind of symptoms you can have. I didn't have anything much until the sickness kicked in at 6 weeks. But not everyone has that.

Idobelieveinfairies · 01/06/2007 15:11

I didn't have a single pregnancy symptom with any of my pregnancies, not even the twins...it was just the missing period that alerted me to being pregnant. SO don't worry, you might be one of the lucky ones that will sail through, fingers crossed.x

It's completely normal. I am 5 weeks and have no symptoms at all, and that's fine. They will arrive soon enough!! Pregnancies are different in the same way that our periods and bodies all vary too.

Please come and join us on the February ante-natal thread and congratulations!!

pretty much

didn't get bigger or sore - not for the first two trimesters at any rate

symptoms are different for everyone - with ds1 i had none. this time i was pukey and knackered with bad skin (nice)

but boobs the same, bith times

don#t worry

Arama · 01/06/2007 15:14

Thank you! It's a bit overwhelming if I'm really honest!

don't worry ... i idn't really get morning sickness, except for one week at about 9 weeks.

my boobs only started getting a tiny bit bigger (from an A to a B) at about 34 weeks!

don't worry - you're one of the lucky ones!

congrats

beller · 01/06/2007 15:25

Congrats!!
I have no sickness..but must admit my boobs are extremely sore..but like everyone else has said, each one is different!!
x

well with both pregnancies my boobs got sire..to me was a sign that I was pregnant and things were going well..

TBH they never changed though..Never seemed to get bigger..not even towards the end... Glad though as they are big enough imo..!!

schneebly · 01/06/2007 16:05

mine stayed exactly the same!

luceuk · 01/06/2007 16:15

I have just found out I'm pregnant too and I haven't had sore breasts either. Just a bit tingly. No other symptoms at all.

Arama · 01/06/2007 17:42

OK, but do you usually get sore breasts before your period? I usually do. This time, nothing, and I'm pregnant.
I think I might just be freaking a bit generally though!

It really does vary person to person hon.

I NEVER used to get sore breasts around my period, but at 5wks pregnant my GOD, they HURT, i couldn't bear for them to be touched, i even had to give up my beloved underwired bra's by 7wks. They never became swollen though, i only went up one brasize and they've stayed that way postpartum.

You might be one of those lucky ladies who doesn't get many symptoms, i know one of my friends had no clue she was pregnant until the 17th week, no sore breasts, no morning sickness, nada.
She'd had some uterine cysts removed (so no period was normal apparently) and was at her 6mo post-op check up and the doctor pointed out she was pregnant, lol.

softmusk · 01/06/2007 18:12

my stayed the same

which i was not happy about for once in my life i thought i might have big boobs

but no

30andready · 02/06/2007 08:39

hi there - I too have just found out I'm pregnant (one week late for my period). I don't really understand how many weeks that makes me and I too have very few symptoms except for lower back ache...it is a bit worrying isn't not to feel different at all - don't even feel that tired, just energised and excited!

Noodlekitty · 03/06/2007 15:53

My boobs did not change one iota throughout pregnancy, now have an 11 week old and they're still the same! got a wee bit engorged at about four days post-birth when my milk came in but that was it. I was quite happy as I am generously norked anyway, was dreading the bra size I would go up to!

Alfie72 · 10/06/2007 20:23

Nah, I think I now have virtual sacs attached to my chest... I have gone up about 3 cup sizes in 24 weeks. Trust me, these aint like a good implant, they don't even attempt to stay upright. I feel like Dolly Parton. Everyone is different but I hear they get bigger once your milk comes in and when you stop breastfeeding they usually are a little smaller than pre- pregnancy

agr4y · 10/06/2007 22:42

Nothing changed to begin with when I had DD. Same as you no clue apart from a positive test and no AF pain. This time is totally different, only 6 weeks already have a bump and my chest has gone from a 10-12 to a 14 already, lol. Every pregnancy is different.

littlepicklesmum · 10/06/2007 22:47

The only change I had to begin with was constantly going to the loo, my boobs didn't change for ages and when they did one was much bigger than the other!! Everyone is different. Good luck with it all.

Eaglebird · 11/06/2007 18:35

I'm 21 weeks and had to buy a couple of new bras yesterday. Finally gone up in size from 34B to 34C.
